----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friend

There had been a bunch of good lessons for this world in all the marriages of prophet Mohammad. Among many other things, he exemplified before this world, how to rehabilitate a widowed woman and her children. His wives played a vital role in taking forward the prophetic mission to the next generation who in turn carried the message to the rest of the world. The wives of prophet Mohammad became role models for the women community of all times and most of them became scholars of their times.

Here comes yet another marriage in dealing with the centuries old culture on Adopted Children. Prophet Mohammad had an adopted son named Zayd who was a slave freed by the prophet himself. Hence he was known as Zayd son of Mohammad. It was prophet Mohammad who arranged his marriage with a lady from within his own family. Her name was Zaynab daughter of Jahsh.

One key aspect of this marriage was that the male candidate Zayd was a freed slave and the female candidate Zaynab was from a rich and noble tribe. In the time of prophet Mohammed, freed slaves were treated as inferior second-class people, as it had been for centuries. The marriage didn't last for long.

"The marriage, however, was not a success. Although both Zaynab and Zayd were the best of people, who loved Allah and His Messenger, they were very different and in the end they could not overcome their incompatibility. Zayd asked the Prophet's permission to divorce Zaynab more than once, and although he was counselled to hold onto his wife and to fear Almighty God" - Ibn Kathir.

The social status of these two people created cracks in their marriage relation and it lasted only for one year.

The Seventh Marriage

The adopted son Zayd divorced his wife who was a cousin of the prophet. Here comes the crucial decision of marrying this divorced lady by prophet Mohammed himself. This marriage of prophet Mohammad was nothing but a demonstration of Islamic morals on the treatment of adopted children.

The society during the time of prophet Mohammad treated their adopted son just like how they treated their natural son, in every aspect of their life. In general it is a very good practice and that is exactly what prophet Mohammad was doing.

But when it comes on the moral side, there is a big difference in treating an adopted son, just like a natural son. In a single sentence, the Islamic morality says that -

• What kind of moral distance is kept before the adoption of a male/female, should be kept even after the adoption.

It was for the materialization of this moral principle that prophet Mohammad married the divorced wife of his adopted son. A messenger who came to deliver the message of Almighty God by words and actions had to took the pain of marrying the divorced wife of his adopted son.

The Morale Behind The Morality

The morale is very high for this particular marriage of prophet Mohammad with the divorced wife of his adopted son. The 6th century adoption culture that didn't keep the moral distance, was in sharp contrast with the Morality Principles that Islam portrayed before this world.

Islam has unambiguously defined the moral spectrum that should be maintained between men & women and for that, it brought forth the principal concept of 'Mahram'.

• The word 'Mahram' denotes the person with whom a man/woman cannot marry.

The word 'Mahram" denotes an unmarriageable person (male/female). For a male it is forbidden to marry his mother, his sisters, his daughters, his brother's daughters, his sister's daughters etc.

In order to maintain the Moral Integrity of the society, it has defined set of rules with respect to the concept of 'Mahram'. It clearly defines the Moral Distance that should be kept by a woman when dealing with a person whom she can marry. The moral distance should be kept in all the corners of life. For instance -

"She should address marriageable men in a manner in which there is no softness, i.e. a woman should not address a marriageable man in the same way that she addresses her husband." - Ibn Kathir.

The Moral Spectrum

It is a spectrum of people with whom a woman can interact as if she is at home. The following verse gives a glimpse on the extend of spiral of this moral spectrum.

"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze, and protect their private parts and not to show off their adornment except that which is apparent, and to draw their veils all over their Juyub (chests and ribs) and not to reveal their adornment except to

• their husbands, or
• their fathers, or
• their husband's fathers, or

• their sons, or

• their husband's sons, or
• their brothers or
• their brother's sons, or
• their sister's sons, or
• their women, or
• their right hand possessions, or
• the servants and the like among men who do not have desire, or

• children who are not aware of the nakedness of women." - Quran 24:31

The above verse explains the classes of people before whom a woman can interact in her homely appearance. Notably, an adopted son doesn't fall into this moral spectrum. Islam sees any person who is outside this spectrum as a stranger in the exact sense that the moral distance should be kept when dealing with such people.

Inducting an adopted person (male/female) into this spectrum is a morality leak. In order to resolve this moral defect, Islam declared that the adopted son should be treated equally as that of a natural son except that he/she is out of this moral spectrum and hence the moral distance should be kept.

This marriage of prophet Mohammad undoubtedly established the completeness of the moral spectrum.

Dear Friend

"I am a woman whose best time hath gone, she said, and I am the mother of orphans. What is more, I have a nature of exceeding jealousy" - Muhammad, Life Based on Earliest Sources by Martin Lings.
This was the reply of the widow named Umm Salama when she was offered the hand of prophet Mohammad, in marriage.

He (prophet) answered: "As to age, I am older than thou; as to thy jealousy, I will pray God to take it from thee; as to thine orphan children, God and His Messenger will care for them." - Ibid.

Prophet Mohammad Offered His Hand In Marriage

There was an ideologically bound reason on why prophet Mohammad offered his hand in marriage to the lady named Umm Salama.

"Abu Salamah's Islam became known; and this dismay was doubled when Hind or Umm Salamah, as she is always called - instead of leaving her husband became like him one of the most devoted followers of the Prophet."  - Muhammad, Life Based on Earliest Sources by Martin Lings.

Here we see a couple who were among the staunch followers of prophet Mohammad. Their new faith was succeeded by persecutions from their own family, as it was, always.

"But Abu Salamah and Umm Salamah could hope for nothing but persecution from their own clan." - Ibid.

The fate of any such new believer was always on the edge of sword; at any time they will be attempted for their life, just because they proclaimed The True Oneness of Almighty God. And this highly imminent fate led her first husband to make a wow with her that - "He told her that if he died first she should marry again" - Ibid.

He didn't stop there, he supplicated to Almighty God that - "He prayed: 'God grant Umm Salamah after me a man who is better than me, one who will cause her no sadness and no hurt.'"- Ibid.

As he expected, the fate came - "The next month his cousin Abu Salamah died of a wound from (the battle of) Uhud which had closed too soon and broken out afresh." - Ibid.

As the leader of The Faithful,  prophet Mohammad was with them.

"The Prophet was with him at the end and prayed for him as he was breathing his last; and it was the Prophet who closed his eyes when he was dead."- Ibid.

- Her husband died for he stood firmly in proclaiming The Oneness of Almighty God.

"Once again Umm Salama was alone, only now she had not one child, but several. There was no one to look after her and them." - Ibn Kathir.

- The lady became alone for she stood firmly in proclaiming The Oneness of Almighty God.

"Abu Bakr proposed marriage to her, but she refused. Then Umar asked her to marry him, but again she refused." - Ibn Kathir.

- Prominent personalities of the city of Madina offered her their hand in marriage but she refused.

This was the historical context that lead prophet Mohammad to offer his hand in marriage.

The Sixth Marriage

"Four months after his death the Prophet came and asked for her hand in marriage." - Ibid.

And she replied -

Umm Salama said, "O Messenger of Allah! It is not because I do not want you, but I am very jealous and I fear that you might experience some wrong mannerism from me for which Almighty God would punish me. I am old and have children.'' - Ibn Kathir

Here comes the importance of the reply from prophet Mohammad. He said -

"• As for the jealousy that you mentioned, Allah the Exalted will remove it from you.

 • As for your being old as you mentioned, I have suffered what you have suffered.

 • And for your having children, they are my children too." - Ibn Kathir

Even though the lady had some worldly 'negative' points, the prophet took this lady as his wife and her children as his children.

The Widowed Lady on The Fate of The Marriage

"Almighty God gave me better in exchange than him. i.e. (I was taken as the wife of) the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)." - Imam Muslim.

- She was relieved by herself by having a messenger of  God as her husband, to look-after her and her children.

Her Role as a Wife

"She was also from a very noble family and known for her keen intelligence. On more than one occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked her advice in tricky situations."- Ibn Kathir.

- Due to her intelligence, prophet had her advice in troublesome situations.

Her Contributions

"Like A'isha and Hafsa, Umm Salama learned the whole of the Qur'an by heart" - Ibn Kathir.

- She completely by hearted the entire Quran.

Her contribution for the next generation was vital that she reported the rules and regulations on the following titles from the life of prophet Mohammad.

• Characteristics of Prayer
• Etiquette of Dressing
• Good Manners
• Divorce
• Fasting
• Marriage Rules
• Rules on Suckling
• Rules of recitation of Glorious Quran

The Impact of This Marriage

"Many of the Companions followed the Prophet's example, marrying widows and thereby bringing them and their children into the circle of their families, instead of leaving them to struggle on their own." - Ibn Kathir.

This marriage cemented A Great Norm for The Protection of the widows who perfectly submitted their life in the way of Almighty God.

Dear Friend

"The Mother Of The Poor". That was the title of the twice/thrice widowed lady named Zaynab Daughter of Khuzayma.

"During the The Period of Ignorance itself She was known as The Mother of The Poor, due to her feeding of the poor people." - Ibn Hisham.

Even before recognizing the Mohammad as a prophet of God, the lady Zaynab was known for her charity.

"She was with Tufail son of Haris then he divorced her and his brother Ubaidah son of Haris married her and he was martyred during the battle of Badr." - Ibn Hisham.

She became a widow for the second time when her second husband was died in a battle.

"The scholar Zuhri said that she was with Ibn Jahsh and he was killed in the battle of Uhd." - Ibn Hisham.

She became a widow for the third time when her third husband was died in a battle.

The Fifth Marriage

"A year after being widowed she was still unmarried, and when the Prophet asked her to marry him she gladly accepted." - Muhammad, Life Based on Earliest Sources by Martin Lings.

Here also, you can see prophet Mohammad taking care of a lady who stood for his principles such as The Charity Principles.

"The Prophet married her with a dowry of four hundred Dirhams, and a apartment was constructed for her near those of Hafsa and Aisha" - Great Women of Islam by Ghadanfar.

He married her, in due accordance his Marriage Principles.

The Result of This Marriage

"And it was doubtless in connection with this new alliance that the Prophet now received a visit from Abu Bara, the ageing chief of Zaynab's tribe." - Muhammad, Life Based on Earliest Sources by Martin Lings.

As a result of this marriage, prophet Mohammad received a visit from the chief of the tribe of Zaynab, in an effort to mend the fences that existed between various tribes.

"When Islam was put before him, the old man made it clear that he was not averse to it. He did not however embrace it then, but asked that some Muslims should be sent to instruct his whole tribe." - Ibid.

As a result, they asked for scholars to be sent for them so as to learn The Oneness of God and The Hundreds of Principles put forward by prophet Mohammad.

The Response of The Household

"The two ladies who were already part of the household - Aisha and Hafsah welcomed this new friend and tried their best to give her their sincere sympathetic companionship. They knew that the prophet married Zaynab because she was deeply affected by the death of her first husband." - Great Women of Islam by Ghadanfar.

Thus the lady Zaynab became The Mother of The Believers and she found peace in her life.

"Because of the kind behaviour of these two noble ladies, her grief was lightened and she felt more at peace." - Ibid.

This marriage, again, exemplified a novel elevation of women who lost their husbands just because they proclaimed The Oneness of God, belief in all of His messengers, defended it and martyred for it.

Dear Friend

"'Umar took his wife Zaynab, their daughter Hafsah and their young son Abdullah. Hafsah's husband, Khunays of Sahm, was also with them." - Muhammad, Life Based on Earliest Sources by Martin Lings.

- The companions of prophet Mohammad migrated from their homeland to save themselves from the persecution.
- Among them were a lady named Hafsah and her husband.

"In the year which followed the return from Badr (The Battle of Badr) the family of Umar suffered two losses. The first of these was the death of his son-in-law Khunays, the husband of his daughter Hafsah. He had been one of the emigrants to Abyssinia, and it was on his return that the marriage had taken place. Hafsah was only eighteen years old when she became a widow." - ibid.

- The lady Hafsah became a widow after her husband died in a battle.

The Fourth Marriage

"For her father it was very painful to see his daughter in this state. Her silent courage under these circumstance, her patient prayers and her study of the Quran irradiated her countenance with spiritual beauty and innocence, but there was also a sadness because of the harsh loneliness that had become part of their life." - Great Women of Islam by Ghadanfar

- Sadness and sorrow affected this widowed woman's family, especially to her father.

The father of this widowed women approached one of the prominent person named Uthman, to receive his widowed daughter, in marriage.

"Uthman answered that he was not presently planning on marriage" - ibid.

He again, approached another prominent person named Abu Bakr, to receive his widowed daughter, in marriage.

"He too lowered his gaze and did not answer him." - ibid.

With the decline of the offer to marry his daughter, by the two prominent persons, the father of this widowed woman was upset.

"He was very upset and worried at the turn of events; in a sense it was an affront to him and his position as a sincere defender of the faith. People, he thought, would consider it an honor to have an alliance by marriage with him."- ibid.

As the leader of the faithful, he approached prophet Mohammad.

"With this grievance he went to prophet and explained to him the position he found himself in. The Prophet smilingly answered that he should neither grieve nor worry and Allah willing he would find a man better than Uthman for Hafsah"- ibid.

This was the point at which prophet Mohammad implied his willingness to marry the widowed women.

The Response of The Father

"Umar Farooq could not believe his ears; his daughter would have the honor of joining the selected band of women who were known as The Mothers of The Believers!"- ibid.

- The wives of prophet Mohammad are mothers of believers.

Who Was This Woman?

"She was from the women who fasted and prayed in the night. And from those women who feared Allah." - Imam Ad-Dahabi

Here again, we see prophet Mohammad marrying a widowed women, who was leading a life on the principles such as the  Marriage Principle - 1 i.e.

"A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a losers." - Prophet Mohammad.

What a Life It Was

Prophet Mohammad married Hafsah. One day the father of this woman came to visit prophet Mohammad.

Umar said: "I visited Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he was lying on a mat. I sat down and he drew up his lower garment over him and he had nothing (else) over him, and that the mat had left its marks on his sides." - Imam Bukhari.

Umar said: "I looked with my eyes in the store room of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). I found only a handful of barley ..."  - Imam Bukhari.

Umar said: "I was moved to tears (on seeing this extremely austere living of the Holy Prophet)"  - Imam Bukhari.

Prophet Asked: "Son of Khattab, what makes you weep?" - Imam Bukhari.

Umar said: "Apostle of Allah, why should I not shed tears? This mat has left its marks on your sides and I do not see in your storeroom (except these few things) that I have seen; Caesar (The King of Rome) and Closroes (The King of Persia) are leading their lives in plenty whereas you are Allah's Messenger. His chosen one, and that is your store!" - Imam Bukhari.

Prophet said: "Ibn Khattab, aren't you satisfied that for us (there should be the prosperity) of the Hereafter (life after death), and for them (there should be the prosperity of) this world?"
- Imam Bukhari.

Her Contribution as A Wife of Prophet Mohammad

1. A Scholar of Her Time

"She memorized 60 Hadith from prophet peace be upon him. She was considered as one of the great scholars among the companions of prophet Mohammad. She was from the people who memorized entire Quran." - Imam Ad-Dahabi

2. The Guardian of Glorious Quran

"She was The Guardian of Quran" - Imam AdDahabi.

- She was The Only Woman who was given The One & Only Written Copy of Quran, at that time, to guard it.

"Then the complete manuscripts (copy) of the Qur'an remained with Abu Bakr till he died, then with 'Umar till the end of his life, and then with Hafsah, the daughter of Umar" - Imam Bukhari.

- She was among the few ladies who knew how to read and write and in whose hands the one and only manuscripts of Quran remained.

Among other things, as a wife of prophet Mohammad, she contributed on the following titles.

* Etiquette on Fasting
* Etiquette on Recommended Prayers
* Rules on Friday Prayer
* Rules on The Recitation of Quran
* Rules on the recommended Pilgrimage
* News on The Anti Christ

Her position as the wife of prophet Mohammad was illuminated by her title - The Guardian of Glorious Quran. This title paved the way for the billions of copies of Quran throughout the centuries, till this day.

One of My Friend Commented -

"Some might have viewed the marriage of Muhammad and A'isha as an exceptional marriage, but then the two partners were exceptional people. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the last of the Prophets and the best of creation; and A'isha was a very intelligent and observant young girl with a very good memory." - Imam Ibn Kathir.

- This is why prophet Mohammad chose Aisha who was at 9.

A few questions in mind...

1. Why cant he wait for next 9 - 10 years ?
2. Is it possible to acquire her wisdom only through marrying her ? cant he arrange a marriage with his son or someone younger ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Friend

Thank you very much for your comments.

>>1. Why cant he wait for next 9 - 10 years ?

First and foremost, after 8 years of the marriage, prophet Mohammad passed away. Hence, there was little scope of waiting for 9 - 10 years. Here comes the religious answer.

Religiously Speaking

The one and only answer on why prophet Mohammad chose a 9 year old girl in marriage, is that, it was A Command from Al Mighty God. Almighty God, being the Knower of the seen and the unseen, the past and the future, dictated that the marriage should happen exactly when it did happen.

Had prophet Mohammad been acting on his own desires, the marriage itself wouldn't have happened, but it was not the case.

>>1. Why cant he wait for next 9 - 10 years ?

Secondly, as I said, it was not just for another marriage, prophet Mohammad married the 9 year old girl. If it was for just another marriage, he had a very good offer before him, by his enemies, long before his second marriage with the 55+ year old widow.

Simply speaking, he couldn't wait for the next 9 - 10 years ( i.e. after his death ) because

- It was for The Delegation of The Principles and Etiquettes of prophet Mohammad, for the future generation that he married the 9 year old girl named Aisha."

He did not have the time to wait for next 9 - 10 years  ( i.e. after his death ) because -

- The marriage was not for fulfilling the material lust.
- The marriage was for fulfilling one of The Divine Destiny of Aisha as The Most Knowledgeable Scholar of her time of 40 years.

>>2. Is it possible to acquire her wisdom only through marrying her ? cant he arrange a marriage with his son or someone younger ?

Yes, it was only possible to acquire what she acquired, through marriage and that is why it is said -

"If there exists a relation under the sky, by which one can clearly measure the personality of another person, it is The Marriage Relation."

That is why it is said -

A. She grew into womanhood,

 - She had to be a wife of prophet Mohammad in order for her to be brought-up by the prophet.

It is said -

B. She remembered all that she saw

- She had to be a wife of prophet Mohammad in order for her to saw what she saw.

It is said -

C. She was a witness of so much of all that took place.

- She had to be the wife, in order for her to witness The Life of Prophet Mohammad.

>>2. Is it possible to acquire her wisdom only through marrying her ?

Islam puts forward a Completely Perfect Guideline to all the corners of life or at least it claims so. In that guideline, there are certain things that can be learned only by becoming a wife.

For instance,  consider a woman in her menstrual periods. Prophet Mohammad addressed this very state of mankind with utmost respect, dignity and seriousness, through Aisha who was one of his wife.

Lesson of Menstrual Period -1

Aisha said: "While having the menses, I used to eat from a piece of meat and give it to the Prophet who would eat from the same place I ate from. I used to have sips of a drink and would then give the cup to the Prophet who would place his mouth where I placed my mouth.'' - Imam Muslim.

Look at the narration. Prophet Mohammad is teaching this humanity on how to treat a wife, in one of her difficult times. The above narration should also be well understood how different communities treated their women in periods.

"The Jews used to avoid their menstruating women, they would not eat, or even mingle with them in the house." - Imam Ahmed.

The Jews sidelined their wives at their difficult times; Prophet Mohammad brought close his wives and this is the lesson for a believer.

Lesson of Menstrual Period -2

Aisha said: "Allah's Messenger used to ask me to wash his hair while I was having the menses. He would lay on my lap and read the Qur'an while I was having the period.''  - Imam Muslim.

- He had a close proximity with his wives during their difficult times.
- He even performed religious activities like reading the Quran even by laying on the lap of his menstruating wife.

Lesson of Menstrual Period -3

Aisha said:  "Allah's Messenger commanded me to fetch mats from the mosque. I said that I had menses. He remarked, 'Your menses are not on your hands'." - Imam Turmudi.

- Even though a women in her periods is not supposed to enter a mosque for prayers, Prophet Mohammad did not kept them away, completely.

Lesson of Menstrual Period - 4

Aisha said:  "We set out with no intention of other that Hajj (The Pilgrimage). And when we were in Sharif, my menses came. The Messenger of Allah entered upon me while I was weeping and he said: 'Have your menses come ?' I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'That is something that Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has decreed fo the daughters of Adam. Do everything that the pilgrim in Ihram (the dress of pilgrimage) does, but do not circumambulate the House" - Imam An-Nasai

- During even the time of pilgrimage, prophet Mohammad took his wife with him.
- And when the decree of Almighty came for Aisha, he did sooth her and had done what could do for the pilgrimage to be acceptable before Almighty God.

Lesson of Menstrual Period -5

Aisha said:  "Me and messenger of Allah slept inside a single blanket while I was in my period. ..." - Imam Abu Dawud.

- A wife in her periods should not be kept away from the bed just because of her nature.

There are again, other areas, guidelines to which are best reported by being a wife of prophet Mohammad. It includes -

- Guidelines on Suckling babies and its relationship.
- Guidelines on what should be done for the Wet Dreams of men.
- Guidelines on the rules and regulations of divorce, as the last resort.
- ...

 The point is -

- Prophet Mohammad cannot wait for the next 9 - 10 years ( i.e. after his death), in order for him to teach these invaluable lessons for the mankind.
- Aisha had to be nothing more or less than a wife of prophet Mohammad, in order for her to report what she witnessed, for the future generation.

Nisam

The Holy Prophet kept silent and did not utter a word." - Ibn Hisham, quoted by Imam Qurtubi at Quran 41:1

- These were the offers that the opponents put before prophet Mohammad, to stop calling people to The True Worship of One God.
- These were the offers that the opponents put before prophet Mohammad, long before his second marriage with the 55+ year old widow.

Criticism Without Any Knowledge

People who scandalize the marriage of prophet Mohammad with Aisha, only knows the standards of material lust. They are ignorant of The Principles and The Etiquette of prophet Mohammad.

- They are ignorant on the mission of the marriage between Prophet Mohammad and Aisha.
- They are ignorant on what her parents said on her marriage occasion.

The Life of prophet Mohammad and Aisha

A very long story in short : -

Aisha said, "I used to see the new moon, then the new moon, then the new moon, i. e. three moons in two months, and fire was not kindled in the house of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)." - Imam Bukhari.

- Their life was not a cosy life.
- Their life was that of poverty.

Aisha said, "We the family of Muhammad (may peace be upon him) used to spend (the whole) month in which we (did not need to) kindle the fire as (we had nothing to cook) ; we had only dates and water (to fill our bellies). " - Imam Bukhari.

- For months, they had only dates and water to satisfy their hunger.

What Aisha said On Prophet Mohammad

A very long story in short : -

One

Aisha said, "The Quran". This was the answer from Aisha when she was asked about the conduct of prophet Mohammad.

- This two-word answer fully encompasses - who he was, by his word.
- This two-word answer fully testifies - who he was, by his action.

Two

Aisha said,  "The Messenger of Allah never struck a servant of his with his hand, nor did he ever hit a woman. He never hit anything with his hand, except for when he was fighting in the cause of Allah" - Imam Ahmed.

Three

Aisha said, "He neither was an evil doer nor did he invited others to it. He was not a wanderer (or something like that) in the market places. He didn't deal evil with an evil, but he pardoned and forgave." - Imam Ibn Kathir.

Four

Aisha said, "He was never given the option between two things except that the most beloved of the two to him was the easiest of them, as long as it did not involve sin. If it did involve sin, then he stayed farther away from sin than any of the people." - Imam Ahmed.

Five

Aisha said, "He would not avenge himself concerning anything that was done to him, except if the limits of Allah were transgressed. Then, in that case he would avenge for the sake of Allah." - Imam Ahmed.

These saying were not mere sayings; it came out of her mouth due to her immense struggle.

"She witnessed life, and she witnessed death." - Imam Ibn Kathir.

- For witnessing his life, she struggled hard. It is again, a long story.
- For witnessing his death, she struggled hard. It is again, a long story.

In order for you to understand what and who prophet Mohammad was, you need to checkout what Aisha herself said about him, before you take conclusions from the ignorant people of 21st century.

What Her Contemporaries Said About Her

A very long story in short : -

One

Ibn Rabeeh said - "Aisha was the most eloquent, most knowledgeble, The best of opinion among her people at that time."  - Imam Ibn Kathir.

Two

Urva said - "I have never seen anyone, having the highest kowledge in the law of jurisprudence. I have never seen anyone other than Aisha who was having the highest knowledge in prophetic medicine. I have never seen poets greater than Aisha."  - Imam Ibn Kathir.

Three

Abu Musa Al Ash'ari said - "We, the companions of prophet Mohammad, did not have any doubt, that when asked to Aisha, it would have been cleared by her knowledge."  - Imam Ibn Kathir.

- Prophet Mohammad made one of the great woman personality in the history of mankind, who was known for her knowledge.

Mission Accomplished

"'It is thanks to this exceptional marriage, between a man nearing the end of his life and a woman still near the beginning of hers, that we know so much about the both of them." - Imam Ibn Kathir

- Prophet Mohammad made one of the great woman personality in the history of mankind, who was known for her knowledge.

"This is not surprising, for she is one of the four people who have transmitted more than two thousand hadiths (teachings of prophet Mohammad) ..." - Imam Ibn Kathir.

- Prophet Mohammad made one of the great woman personality in the history of mankind, who was known for her knowledge.
